DESCRIPTIVE TEXT of SMK NEGERI 1 WONOASRI

My school is State Vocational School 1 Wonoasri. Wonoasri State Vocational School 1 Wonoasri Madiun Regency was established on August 20 2001. At its inception, this school was called the Technical School or what was known as ST which later changed its function to SMP Negeri 2 Wonoasri. In accordance with the needs of the community, the Madiun Regency Government finally transferred its function back to SMK Negeri 1 Wonoasri. This transition was overseen by the Principal, Mr. Soegeng Harsojo. Not long after, the leadership of SMK Negeri 1 Wonoasri was continued by Drs. Sutrisno in 2001 too.

Leadership of State Vocational School 1 Wonoasri, Madiun Regency by Drs. Sutrisno ended in 2006. The history of leadership was finally continued by Mr. Drs. Suwono, M.Pd.  During the leadership of Drs. Suwono, M.Pd. SMK Negeri 1 Wonoasri decided to adopt the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System in June 2010 under the leadership of Drs. Suwono, M.Pd. However, the leadership of Drs. Suwono, M.Pd. ended in July 2010. The leadership of SMK Negeri 1 Wonoasri was continued by Mr. Sudarman, S.Pd, M.KPd. to show a fairly rapid pace of development. The inauguration event for SMK Pink cadets - as SMKN 1 Wonoasri is known - was even more lively with various attractions displayed by the cadets. These include beam gymnastics, theater arts combined with dance, marching, military martial arts, and marching bands.

According to Dra. Wiwik Wiyati M. Pd, the inauguration was not just ceremonial. However, it is also a symbol of the cadets' success in going through various challenges and character building processes during the orientation period. This moment is proof of the hard work and perseverance of the cadets. "We hope they can continue to struggle and show proud achievements," She said. With this new enthusiasm, they are ready to face the next challenges in achieving their goals and making a positive contribution to society.

"The hope is that after graduating, the cadets will have the hard skills and soft skills to be equipped to achieve their dreams," he said. "Hopefully in the future we can bring the name of SMKN 1 Wonoasri to achievements at regional, national and even international levels," continued the head of SMKN 1 Wonoasri. Improving the learning system by prioritizing ICT (Information Computer Technology).

The Skills Program at SMK Negeri 1 Wonoasri includes 8 Skills Programs, namely: Automotive Engineering Skills Program (TO), Welding and metal fabrication (PFL), Modeling and building information design (DPIB), Electricity (KL), Electronics Engineering (TE) , Visual Communication Design (DKV), Culinary (culinary), Clothing (BS). Wonoasri State Vocational School 1 has an area of 3,192 M2, located at the address Jl. Commander Sudirman No.1 Purwosari – Caruban – Madiun Regency. And ended in 2018. The leadership of SMK Negeri 1 Wonoasri from 2018 was continued by Mrs. Dra. Wiwik Wiyati s.Pd. until now.
